Every furniture piece from Drapper Woods SF is built to order in our San Francisco studio, and production usually begins within a day or two of your order. This policy explains when you can cancel, what it costs, and how quickly you’ll be refunded.

Free Cancellation Within 24 Hours

You can cancel any order free of charge within 24 hours of placing it, whatever stage it’s at. You’ll receive a full refund.

Cancelling After 24 Hours

Standard furniture. Once 24 hours have passed, we’ve usually selected and begun cutting timber for your piece. You can still cancel any time before it ships. A cancellation fee of 25% of the item price applies to cover materials and labor, and the remaining 75%, plus all applicable sales tax, is refunded. We’ll confirm the exact refund amount in writing before processing it.

Custom quoted pieces. Pieces made to a custom quote can’t be cancelled after the first 24 hours. These are pieces with dimensions, finishes, or wood species that aren’t available as options on the product page. They are built only for you and can’t be resold. Your quote will remind you of this before you order.

Decor and accents. Decor and accent items can be cancelled free of charge, for a full refund, any time before they ship.

After shipping. Orders that have shipped can’t be cancelled. Standard items can be returned within 14 days of delivery under our Refund & Return Policy.

How to Cancel

The time we receive your email counts as your cancellation time, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, so you never lose your free window because our studio is closed.

We’ll send a cancellation confirmation by email within 1 business day, showing your refund amount.

Your Right to Cancel for Delays

If your order can’t ship within the estimated time, we’ll email you a revised ship date. You can then cancel at no charge for a full refund, whatever stage production has reached and whether or not the piece is custom.

When We May Cancel an Order

We may cancel an order and issue a full refund if:

  • the shipping address is outside our delivery area,
  • a product was listed at an obviously incorrect price,
  • we can’t source the materials needed to build the piece, or
  • the payment is flagged as potentially fraudulent and can’t be verified.

We’ll always tell you the reason by email.

Refunds for Cancelled Orders

  • Refunds are issued within 2 business days of the cancellation being confirmed.
  • They go to your original payment method. Your bank or card issuer may take an additional 3–5 business days to show the credit.
  • Full refunds include the item price and all applicable sales tax. Shipping is free, so there are no shipping charges to refund.
